1972 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-X (SOLD)

What we have here is a textbook example of a well executed GT-X Hakosuka. This 1971 Nissan Skyline 2 door hard top was imported from Japan and maintained by JDM Legends. This particular style of Skyline is what is referred to in Japan as a GT-R clone, meaning that it utilizes the rear over-fenders that were original equipment on the GT-R model but retains the single cam, straight 6 cylinder L-series motor found in many Nissans of the era including the Fairlady Z or Datsun 240,260 and 280z as it was referred to here in the states.
This is a top of the line GT-X model which means that it has power windows, optional 5-speed transmission, slightly upgraded interior from the GT and would typically be equipped with twin SU carburetors and mechanical throttle linkage from the factory. This one has been upgraded with triple 40mm Mikuni side draft carburetors, custom airbox, and full exhaust to extract the most potential from the L28 motor and N42 head.
In addition to the engine upgrades, this one is also equipped with a 5-speed transmission, aftermarket lowering springs and the same MK63 4 pot brake calipers that were used on the Hakosuka race cars . To round out the package we have a classic set of RS Watanabe wheels wrapped in sticky Advan rubber for that occasional track day or spirited canyon drive.
The interior on this car is in outstanding condition and mostly original aside from the period-correct Nardi steering wheel and shift knob. Upon receiving the vehicle from Japan we have completed a full tune-up as well as valve lash adjustment and compression test in addition to our 100 point inspection.
