Job Overview:
As a Customer Insights Analyst at JDM Legends, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting customer feedback, online discussions, and market trends to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions. Specializing in the automotive restoration market, particularly for Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) vehicles that are 25 years and older, you will work closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure that our parts and services align with the needs and preferences of our niche audience.
Your focus will be on tracking industry trends, understanding customer behavior, and providing data-driven recommendations to enhance our product offerings, improve customer engagement, and grow our brand within the JDM restoration community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research & Analysis: Monitor online communities, forums, and social media platforms where JDM enthusiasts discuss restoration parts and services, identifying key trends, customer preferences, and unmet needs.
- Customer Feedback Analysis: Collect and analyze customer reviews, surveys, and feedback from various sources (online reviews, direct customer interactions, social media) to understand customer satisfaction, product performance, and areas for improvement.
- Competitor Monitoring: Track competitor offerings, pricing, and promotions within the JDM restoration market and provide insights on how we can differentiate and improve our products and services.
- Auction Monitoring & Trend Analysis: Regularly monitor parts and vehicle auction sites, such as Bringatrailer.com and Yahoo Auctions Japan, to track pricing trends, availability, and demand for JDM vehicles and parts. Provide actionable insights on market trends and emerging opportunities.
- Data Interpretation: Analyze and interpret data related to customer demographics, purchasing behavior, and market trends to help the company make data-driven decisions.
- Sentiment Analysis: Conduct sentiment analysis across social media and online forums to gauge the perception of our brand and products, and suggest strategies to improve brand loyalty.
- Reporting & Presentations: Create detailed reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders, ensuring key insights are actionable and aligned with business goals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and sales teams to relay insights that shape marketing campaigns, product launches, and customer outreach strategies.
- Customer Persona Development: Develop and refine customer personas for our JDM vehicle restoration audience based on data analysis, ensuring that marketing strategies are tailored to customer needs.
- Trend Identification: Identify emerging trends in the JDM vehicle restoration market and provide recommendations for new products, services, or improvements to existing offerings.
- Brand Reputation Monitoring: Continuously monitor the company’s online reputation, identifying any potential issues or areas for improvement in customer communication and service.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in market research, customer insights, or data analysis, preferably in the automotive or aftermarket parts industry.
- Passion or strong interest in the automotive industry, specifically JDM vehicles and restoration projects.
- Experience with social media listening tools, customer analytics platforms, and data visualization tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Tableau, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and provide actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, concise reports.
- Familiarity with JDM enthusiast communities, automotive forums, and aftermarket parts markets is highly preferred.
- Experience monitoring online auction platforms such as Bringatrailer.com and Yahoo Auctions Japan to track pricing and trends specific to JDM vehicles and parts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of JDM vehicle models, parts, and restoration processes.
- Experience with tools like SEMrush, Brandwatch, or other social media monitoring platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, or other data analysis software.
